6th annual UK & Ireland Early BBB symposium

Dear Colleagues

We are pleased to invite you to Dublin on the 25th November 2016 to participate in the 6th annual UK & Ireland Early BBB symposium which will take place in the Genetics Department at Trinity College Dublin (http://www.bbbsymposium.com).

This meeting will provide a unique platform for early career BBB researchers to present their newest findings in both presentation and poster format. The meeting will begin at 10.30AM, with registration taking place in the atrium of the Smurfit Institute of Genetics in TCD between 9.30-10.30AM on the 25th November 2016.

This year, we have been very fortunate that Prof Damir Janigro (Cleveland Clinic and FloCel Inc) will present the keynote address where he will focus on the power of translational research in the context of BBB biology. The keynote lecture will take place in the Schrodinger theatre in the Physics department of TCD. This is where Ernst Schrodinger gave his series of lectures "What is life" in 1943 and inspired Watson and Crick to identify the structure of DNA. We have booked this lecture theatre for part of the day so some attendees will also get the opportunity to present their work in this unique and historic environment.

Registration is completely free and lunch and dinner will be provided. In this regard, places will be very limited so please register and submit your abstracts as soon as possible and before the 21st October at the very latest. Please follow the following URL to register: https://ti.to/6th-annual-uk-ireland-early-bbb-symposium/Dublin2016

Abstracts should be submitted directly to the following email address: matthew.campbell@tcd.ie

We hope this will be a very stimulating and memorable meeting in the historic grounds of Trinity College Dublin. We look forward to welcoming you to Dublin in November.

With kindest regards

Matthew

Matthew Campbell, PhD Smurfit Institute of Genetics, Lincoln Place Gate, Trinity College Dublin, Dublin 2.
