Based in the Department of Molecular and Clinical Pharmacology, we are seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate for an industry-funded project studying the role of transporters in the carriage of a pharmaceutical drug that is undergoing clinical development. The research in the group focuses on understanding the importance of transporters in the passage of drugs through the blood-brain barrier and relating this to patient outcomes such as efficacy by using pharmacogenetic approaches.
You should have a PhD in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology or related subjects, with interest in transporters and research experience in molecular cell biology techniques such as transfections, qPCR, Western blotting and cell culture. Experience in drug transporter assays and/or pharmacogenetics and in vitro BBB models are highly desirable.
